Formula and method

Dog calorie method

RER = 70 × weightKg^0.75; daily calories = RER × multiplier

The multiplier is conservative and changes with puppy/adult/senior status, activity, and neuter status.

Food amount is calculated by dividing daily calories by kcal per 100 g or kcal per cup.
